This week, we turn again to the Apostle Paul's Letter to the Galatians 4:4-7 to hear a message reminding us of the blessings of being . . . "Adopted" . . . into the family of God. In this lesson, we see:
- Sinners are adopted into God’s family through Jesus.
- Not only are believing sinners adopted, we also receive the Holy Spirit confirming our status.
- Because we are adopted sons, we inherit everything.
- Therefore, we can believe God adopts sinners into his family and gives them all the rights and privileges of being his children.
- So, let’s celebrate that we are God’s children because of THE Son, Jesus.

- The name “Immanuel” means “God with us.”
- This name indicates several things:
- Jesus is God “in the flesh.”
- Jesus is always with his people by the presence of the Holy Spirit.
- Jesus is not only the God who is with us; he is the God who is for us.
- Therefore, we ought to believe in and celebrate Jesus as Immanuel..
- So, let’s find great joy in the God who is with us, Jesus, our Immanuel.

- Jesus is the Son of Abraham.
- Not only does this title indicate Jesus is a descendent of Abraham, it also indicates he is the fulfillment of the promises made to Abraham.
- These Jesus-fulfilled promises made to Abraham can be summarized as offspring, land, and blessing.
- Therefore, we ought to believe in and celebrate Jesus as the Son of Abraham.
- So, let’s find great joy in the Savior who blesses the world, Jesus, the Son of Abraham.

- Jesus is the Christ.
- The word “Christ” is the equivalent of the word Messiah, and both words mean “anointed one.”
- Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit to deliver sinful people from their sin.
- Therefore, we ought to believe in and celebrate Jesus as the Christ.
- So, let’s find great joy in our Deliverer, Jesus, the Christ.
