Good Life - Mercy (Matthew 5:7)

Join Pastor Stuart for the last lesson in our series, The Good Life, about following Jesus.

This week, we turn to Matthew 5:7 to learn about . . . "The Good Life".

In this lesson, we learn:

• According to Jesus, the merciful have the “good life."

• Mercy is displayed in at least two ways:
  • Willingly withholding deserved judgment.
  • Kindness and care for those in need.
• God blesses the merciful because he himself is merciful.
• We see God’s mercy most clearly in Christ.
• Because mercy is such a significant trait of Jesus, mercy will be a significant trait for his followers.
• By the work of the Spirit, let’s grow in being merciful.
