Sunday Nov 02, 2025
Join Pastor Stuart for the fourth lesson in our series, High Hopes.
This week, we turn to Romans 5:1-5 to hear about . . . "Glorious Hope".
Today, we are reminded that:
- Those who trust in Jesus have a glorious hope.
- This hope is grounded in God’s grace to us in Christ.
- Because of Jesus, we who believe have a right standing with God.
- Since we have this standing in Christ, we not only have peace with God, but we also have assurance of God’s ongoing, steadfast love for us.
- God’s love for us in Christ culminates in glory.
- This is why we can rejoice in hope even in suffering.
- So in all our circumstances, let’s rejoice in the sure and certain hope of glory we have in Christ.

Join Pastor Stuart for the last lesson in our series, The Good Life.
This week, we turn to Matthew 5:10-12 to learn how . . . "The Good Life = Persecution for Following Christ".
In this lesson, we learn:
- According to Jesus, those who are persecuted for following him have the good life.
- If we truly follow Jesus, we can expect some form of persecution.
- We experience God’s blessing in persecution in several ways:
- Persecution because of Jesus is part of our confirmation that we belong to him.
- Suffering refines the faith of those who belong to Jesus.
- The witness of the church is often strengthened through persecution.
- We are promised the kingdom.
- All of this shows us why we can rejoice and be glad when we are persecuted.
- So, let’s focus on Jesus knowing that nothing, not even persecution, can keep us from sharing in his glory.
