Join Pastor Stuart in our fourth lesson about The Truth About Truth.
This week, we turn to the Apostle Paul's Letter to the Romans 1:18-32 to be reminded that . . . "Sinners Suppress Truth"
- The truth about truth is this: Sinners Suppress Truth
- Sinners tend to deny God and his truth while making something other than God central to life.
- This suppression of truth leads to all kinds of deviations from what is truly good.
- Christians are not immune to the truth suppressing effects of sin.
- All of this emphasizes our great need for Jesus.
- Therefore, we ought to AFFIRM the Truth.
- Admit how you personally suppress God’s truth.
- Face the truth of your need for Jesus.
- Find truth in Christ.
- Internalize the truth of Scripture.
- Rely on the Spirit to guide you in truth.
- Meet regularly with other truth pursuers.
- So, in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Spirit, let’s grow in affirming the truth of God in our lives.

Join Pastor Stuart in our third lesson as we consider The Truth About Truth.
We continue this week in Isaiah 65:13-17 and Hebrews 6:17-18 to be reminded of the foundation principle that . . . "All Truth Is God’s Truth"
- The truth about truth is this: All Truth Is God’s Truth.
- This is because God is the God of truth.
- Whatever God reveals to us through the Scriptures or the created order in general is always true.
- This means we can trust God in all that says . . . even the extraordinarily staggering and mind-boggling promises in Christ Jesus.
- Therefore, we can believe the truth as God has revealed it.

Join Pastor Stuart for the last sermon in our series, Hospitable.
This week, we turn to the Apostle Paul's first letter to the Romans 12:9-21 to hear the importance for us to . . . "Connect".
- One major part of showing hospitality is connecting with others.
- Connecting with others well involves:
- Genuine love;
- Honoring others;
- Empathy.
- We are enabled to connect with others in these ways because of the way God has connected with us in Christ.
- Therefore, we can be encouraged to show hospitality to at least one person this week by connecting (loving, honoring, and empathizing) with them.
- So, by the power of the Spirit in the name of Jesus let’s grow in connecting well with others.

Join Pastor Stuart for the fourth sermon in our series, Hospitable.
This week, we turn to the Apostle Paul's first letter to Timothy 6:17-19 to be reminded to . . . "Share".
- One major part of showing hospitality is sharing what we have with others.
- God is pleased when we share with others.
- Sharing with others pleases God because we are reflecting his character.
- Christ, by the Holy Spirit, enables us to share generously and even sacrificially with others as we grow in at least three areas:
- Humility;
- Hope in God;
- Gratitude.
- Therefore, we can be encouraged to show hospitality to someone this week by sharing something of ours with them.
- So, by the power of the Spirit in the name of Jesus let’s grow in hospitality as we share generously with others.

Join Pastor Stuart for the next sermon in our series, Hospitable.
This week, we turn to the Apostle Paul's Letter to the Romans 15:1-7 to be encouraged to . . . "Welcome".
- One major part of showing hospitality is welcoming others.
- God calls us to welcome one another the way Christ has welcomed us.
- Welcoming others as Christ welcomes us involves at least three things:
- Invitation
- Edification
- Acceptance
- Therefore, we can be encouraged to welcome (invite, edify, accept) at least one or two people into your space this week.
- So, by the power of the Spirit in the name of Jesus let’s welcome others the way Christ has welcomed us.

Join Pastor Stuart as we continue in our new series, Hospitable.
This week, we turn to four passages in God's Word to learn about . . . "The Heart of Hospitality".
- "Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality (Rom 12:13, ESV)."
- "Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach (1 Tim 3:2, ESV)."
- "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares (Heb 13:2, ESV)."
- "Show hospitality to one another without grumbling (1 Pet 4:9, ESV)."
- God calls us to be hospitable to others.
- At the heart of hospitality is love.
- We demonstrate hospitable love to others as we welcome them, share with them, and connect with them.
- We are enabled to show loving hospitality to others because of the loving hospitality God has shown us in Christ.
- Therefore, we can be encouraged to try to show hospitality (welcoming, sharing, connecting) with at least one person this week.
- So, because of the hospitable love Jesus has shown us, let’s grow in practicing loving hospitality.
